BYK Additives
Two dispersions of carbon black (fine particle size) are poured onto a vertical, slightly tilted polyester foil side by side. Left side, without wetting and dispersing additive: strongly flocculated, no hiding power due to large flocculates. Right side, with wetting and dispersing additive: nicely deflocculated, good hiding power and high gloss because of small particles.
